In 1768 Lieutenant James Cook left England in the re-fitted supply ship Endeavour. On his first expedition he discovered Australia, mapped new Zealand, Tahiti and the Society Islands. Upon his return, cook advised the admiralty that no other type of vessel should be sent to explore distant lands. Artesania Latina's kit features pre-cut frames, double planking in sturdy limewood and beautiful walnut. All metal fittings are brass and copper. Stern windows and other ornamentation are bronzed cast metal. The Endeavour carries eight brass swivel falconets and four brass cannon on walnut carriages. Deadeyes and ships wheel are rare yellow boxwood. Four sheets of extensive plans are included, along with illustrated instruction booklet. NOW WITH PRE-SEWN SAILS.
